Keely Henninger Professional Trail Runner Sponsors: Altra Running, Gu Energy Labs, InsideTracker, GoMacro Independent Scientist Performance Coach
I am a professional athlete and scientist committed to improving how athletes train and treat their bodies. I love to help people tap into their potential and treat their body right. My work in biomechanics and physiology research allows me to try to better understand the female body and optimize its abilities. My interests primarily lie in specifically female athlete health, injury prevention, and coaching. I was an engineer and researcher for Nike for over 7 years studying parameters of athlete performance, injury, female athletes, hormones, and applying my findings to products and services. Currently I am conducting research in the realm of nutrition, low energy availability, disordered eating, and exercise dependence in trail- and ultra- runners.
